Football
Vilamoura FC Academy is the first EXPAT football club in the Algarve with teams running from School year 1 all the way to Veterans Mens Football. Our aim of the academy is to provide a pathway for children from junior to mens football and to create a community within the club.
Vilamoura FC Academy Venturing Vipers
Our Venturing Vipers team will concentrate on learning the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. Children will be given the chance to learn the skills within an isolated environment before putting them into game-style scenarios and friendly style matches against local teams when they are ready.
Vilamoura FC Academy Striving Scorpions
Our Striving Scorpions team will concentrate on continuing to develop the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. They will also be encouraged to learn and understand positions within football and begin to develop some more complex skills such as spatial awareness, crossing and turning. Children will be given the chance to continue to develop their skills in both isolated and game-style scenarios. When the children are ready, they will be invited to play in matches against local teams.
Vilamoura FC Achieving Anacondas
Our Achieving Anacondas team will concentrate on using the fundamental skills needed within football in game style scenarios. They will continue to develop their understanding of positions within football and will be encouraged to use more complex skills such as spatial awareness, crossing and turning within a game. Children will be given the chance to take part in training games with instructions throughout. When they children are ready, they will be invited to play in matches against local teams.
Vilamoura FC Girls Football Academy
Our Girls Football Academy will concentrate on continuing to develop the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. They will also be encouraged to learn and understand positions within football and begin to develop some more complex skills such as spatial awareness, crossing and turning. Children will be given the chance to continue to develop their skills in both isolated and game-style scenarios. When the children are ready, they will be invited to play in matches against local teams.
