Registering with VSA is easy, simply follow the 3 steps below:

Go to our academy registration section, complete the registration form and choose the session/s that you would like to attend.

Once registered you will receive an email confirmation, before sessions begin you will receive an invoice for the term with information on how to pay.

Information about our Sports

2026 – 2027 Session Term Dates:

Term 1: 7^th September to December 18^th (No sessions w/c 26^th October for Half Term)

Term 2: January 4^th to March 19^th (No sessions w/c 15^th February for Half Term)

Term 3: 5^th April to 25^th June (No sessions w/c 24^th May for Half Term)

Prices Per Term:

1 x sessions per week – €140 per term (€12 per session)

2 x sessions per week – €260 per term (€11 per session)

3 x sessions per week – €350 per term (€10 per session)

Prices are based upon 35 weeks of sessions across the full year split into 3 equal payments. There is no pre-payment required, payment required upon invoices sent out by Vilamoura Sports Academy. Payments can be made in full or split into payments per term with the payment dates outlined on the invoice. Anyone who registers part way through a term will only pay for the sessions for the term from the date they join. For siblings, sessions can be combined so if each sibling attends 1 x session, they will just pay for 2 x sessions per week. If a place is cancelled at the end of a term, payments may be due depending on the number of sessions attended. For all refund policies, please see on website.

Vilamoura Sports Traquinas Football Academy.

Our Traquinas Football Academy is open to boys

born 2018 to 2021 and is for children of all abilities. Sessions will concentrate on learning the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. Whilst, also developing children’s understanding of rules and positions within football. Children will be given the chance to learn the skills within an isolated environment before putting them into game-style scenarios within training and in friendly matches against local teams. Sessions are led by Coach Alexandre, a UEFA C coach.

Vilamoura Sports Younger Girls Football Academy.

Our Younger Girls Football Academy is open to girls born 2015 to 2020 and is for children of all abilities. Sessions will concentrate on learning the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. Whilst, also developing children’s understanding of rules and positions within football. Children will be given the chance to learn the skills within an isolated environment before putting them into game-style scenarios within training and in within the Salir League matches which occur every two weeks. Sessions are led by Coach Roman who has years of experience coaching children across Europe.

Vilamoura Sports Girls Football Academy

Our Girls Football Academy is open to girls born 2011 to 2015. We are very proud to have one of the biggest girls academy in the Algarve. Our sessions are open to children of all abilities, with sessions being split into a development group for inexperienced players and an advanced group for players with more experience. Sessions will concentrate on continuing to develop the fundamental skills needed within football: passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. They will also be encouraged to learn and understand positions within football and begin to develop some more complex skills such as spatial awareness, crossing and turning. Our advanced children will play in the Algarve Football Association Girls League and play in the u15 National Cup with our development team gaining experience by playing in the Salir League every two weeks. Sessions are led by Coach Norton the owner of Vilamoura Sports and Coach Eiji a UEFA C football coach.

Vilamoura Sports Iniciados Football Academy

Our iniciados Football Academy is for children born 2012 to 2014. In order to participate in this team, children must trial over a half-term. All sessions are led Coach Martins a UEFA B football coach and Coach Miller who is the head of PE at Nobel Almancil. All sessions work towards participation in Algarve Football Association Inciados League (11 a side).

Vilamoura Sports Benjamin Football Academy

Our Benjamin Football Academy is for children born 2015 to 2017. These sessions are available to children of all levels. These sessions are aimed at both fun and progression, ensuring they instil a child’s love for football. Sessions will work on the basic skills of football with plenty of matches to help build confidence. Children will play in friendlies and tournament over the year eventually building up to play in the AFA leagues. Sessions are led by UEFA B coach, Coach Mendes.

Vilamoura Sports Netball Academy

Our netball academy is available for children in school year 3+. Since arriving in the Algarve, we noticed a lack of diversity within sports, especially for girls. Therefore, in 2023 Vilamoura Sports Academy started regular netball coaching sessions. The coaching sessions focus on the key principles of high 5 netball, passing, movement and spatial awareness and shooting. Children will be given the chance to develop these skills and then use them within a game situation. Our netball academy will get the chance to play in regular games and tournaments against other local teams. Sessions are led by the Head of Portugal Netball, Coach Coleman.

Vilamoura Sports Hockey Academy

Our hockey academy is available for children in school year 3+. Vilamoura Sports Hockey Academy aims to develop a range of skills integral to Hockey. All of our sessions are ran by Chelsea Gray who is a former Scottish International hockey player. Her sessions will aim to develop, passing, dribbling, defending and shooting. Once the children are ready these skills will then be used with a game situation. Although matches in Hockey are hard to come by in the Algarve, we aim to arrange at least 4 games over the course of the year with a local school.

Vilamoura Sports Gymnastics Academy

Our gymnastics academy is split into two age groups: Beginner school years reception to Year 2 & Intermediate school years 3+. Our gymnastics academy will be run by coach Filipa who has previous experience of coaching gymnastics with Louletano gymnastics club. Our sessions are held at Bright IS which is situated in Loule and offers a fully protected matted floor. Our sessions are rhythmic and artistic gymnastics. Beginners’ gymnastics will aim at children developing their flexibility and basic understanding of various gymnastics apparatus. In intermediate gymnastics more focus is based upon routine, posture and improving their basic skills.
